We understand that it is important for you the client to have a clear idea of what you are paying for and approximately how long the project will take.
Based on architectural plans and specifications, I will give you a full quote for your project, with costs divided between labour and materials. I will devise a timeline for the completion of your project before building commences.
Throughout the building process I will keep you updated on how your building project is progressing.
Michael Jordan
I have been in the building industry for over 29 years, including the manufacturing, sales and installation of aluminium joinery. I completed an adult apprenticeship in carpentry in 2008. I am a Licensed Building Practitioner and this gives you the satisfaction that you are using a competent and experienced builder for your project.
Insurance and Guarantee:
MJ Quality Builders are an approved member of New Zealand Certified Builders (NZCB) as we feel it is important to be part of an organisation that supports trade qualified builders. NZCB must adhere to strict guidelines and standards as it provides our clients with the Halo 10 year residential guarantee, the most comprehensive 10 year residential building guarantee on the market.
As an approved member of NZ Certified Builders MJ Quality Builders can offer:
- A comprehensive range of contracts to suit every building situation.
- Also as a member I am consistently kept in touch with new building codes and practice.
- Provide the Halo 10 year residential guarantee which is a unique, independent building cover that’s only available to people who build or renovate with an NZCB approved builder.
I have continued to up-skill and increase my knowledge by attending regular builders meeting
and seminars.
I can meet with you and discuss your personal building needs and provide practical building advice prior to plans been drawn up and before building work is undertaken. This will help to optimise your ideas and align practical solutions so you get the expected outcomes that you envisage.
I feel that regular contact with the client is an integral part of every building project that I undertake. This allows for regular progress updates and allows the project too advance efficiently.
Project Management
- I will coordinate supplies and the sequence of materials delivered for each building stage.
- Health and safety planes will be applied in such a way to cater for the specifics of the job and construction site.
- I provide quality workmanship and will regular check on quality control of work in progress and completed on the building site. The qualities of completed components or tasks are checked against drawings prior to moving on to the next component of work or organising building inspections.
I also offer:
- Liaise with the council to organise the various building inspections required for the building project.
- Cost control and cash flow tracking by including the current claim amount accumulated amount paid/claimed and projected final estimate in invoices or progress claims. This allows the client to gage at a glance the financial status of the project.
Health and Safety:
MJ Quality Builders are a member of Hazard Co. This is an industry specific, designed especially for the building industry. Certified Builders, Department of Labour and ACC are all partners of Hazard Co. This means while we are building for you, we can focus solely on your site specific needs. “Hazard Co makes health and safety practical and easy.”
Sub trades:
Our preferred sub-contractors are reliable trade specialists, who offer good rates and with whom we share a good working relationship.
